Want to try something classic with a twist? Try this grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich! It is delicious! I would always make peanut butter and banana sandwiches when I was younger and now, my mom and I tried something different. We grilled the sandwich to heat up the peanut butter, soften the banana, and to make the bread crunchy. It definitely made a difference with taste and texture. Try this out for your next lunch meal!
2 slices of whole wheat bread
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 sliced banana
Directions: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat, and coat with cooking spray. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter onto one side of each slice of bread. Place banana slices onto the peanut buttered side of one slice, top with the other slice and press together firmly. Fry the sandwich until golden brown on each side, about 2 minutes per side.
